Carlisle Fluid Technologies Bournemouth Opens Site B Electronics Division
Shelley, Alex, and the Bournemouth team celebrate the Site B Opening
Carlisle Fluid Technologies celebrated the opening of our Site B (Electronics) building on Tuesday, 17th July in Bournemouth, UK. With key distributors and the Executive Leadership team, as well as site staff present, President Shelley Bausch held a ribbon cutting and group photo with all staff.
Construction of the Site B (Electronics) building began in December 2017, finishing in March 2018. About £2 million was invested in the 25,000 square foot building project.
The opening of the site has created 29 new permanent and 21 new temporary positions.
The building is focused on four sections of manufacturing, including: handguns, automatic guns, mixing, and powder finishing. These incorporate MS Powder products, Ransburg electrostatic guns, Binks GEMS mixing solutions, turbines, and cascades.
Bournemouth Site Manager Alex Norris had previously served as the Site Leader for the project.
He shared his perspective on the event, “From 1961, Bournemouth has been a critical manufacturing site, for what was once DeVilbiss to who we are now as Carlisle Fluid Technologies. CFT Bournemouth has served as the hub for cutting-edge research, design, and production of key products and solutions within our business. Having worked with this Manufacturing Footprint Optimisation project from inception, I am delighted to see Carlisle’s continued investment in this site and the local community.
It’s a vote of confidence in the team here, and cements the site in Bournemouth as a cornerstone of Carlisle Fluid Technologies’ growth plans. I add my own vote of confidence to the team in Bournemouth – I am thrilled with the results being achieved, and look forward to leading our staff and site here as we collaborate on a global scale in pursuit of our mission to provide high-quality products and experiences for our customers.”
Other key personnel involved in the building project are Dave Smith (Sales Director EMEAI), Sarah Godden (Finance Controller UK), Andy Donovan (Business Systems Manager EMEA), Rob Smith (Site Services Manager), Jon Sims (Manufacturing Projects Manager), Jane Sims (Customer Service Manager), and the Site Maintenance team.
